Choosing the right insert makes your pillow cover look full, structured, and intentional. This guide covers the two verified cover sizes available at Ottomn and how to select an insert that works best.

Ottomn pillow covers are available in two dimensions:

• 14" × 22" — Lumbar / rectangular
• 22" × 22" — Square

Which Insert Size Should I Choose?

For a full, plump look, we recommend sizing up by 2 inches on each dimension. This causes the insert to fill the corners and give the cover a more intentional, styled appearance. Going with an insert that exactly matches the cover can result in a flatter, looser fit.

Fill Types

Inserts are typically filled with one of the following materials. Each has different feel and loft characteristics — your choice depends on personal preference:

• Down & Feather — Soft and flexible; molds easily to the cover. Works well with the larger insert recommendation.
• Down Alternative / Polyester — Hypoallergenic and holds its shape well. Widely available in the recommended sizes above.
• Insert Form (Foam) — Structured and firm; maintains a crisp, tailored look without fluffing. Best when cut to the exact cover size.

Tips for the Best Result

• Always check the insert dimensions before purchasing — "standard" sizes vary by brand.
• For the lumbar cover (14" × 22"), a 16" × 24" insert is the most commonly available larger size.
• Karate-chop the top centre of your square pillow after styling for a classic, editorial look.
